International Student and Scholar Services is currently dealing with an unusually high volume of inquiries from students and departments due to the start of the academic year.
We understand that many individuals have questions about recent changes to immigration policies. However, to comply with federal regulations, ISSS must prioritize certain requests during the first two weeks of the academic year.
ISSS is currently prioritizing:
- SEVIS registration of the 3,000 new and 10,000 continuing international students on our campus. SEVIS registration at the start of the academic year is a mandatory process for all international students and required for students to maintain their immigration status.
- Emergency immigration issues that must be dealt with within the week for students and scholars.
All non-time sensitive inquiries will be addressed as soon as ISSS is able to complete new international student check-in.
In the interim, we would like to remind our campus community of resources available to answer common inquiries:
We want to express our appreciation to our campus partners for their care and dedication to supporting our international students and scholars. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the new academic year.
