  • The Cornell University 2013 Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Summer Undergraduate Research Program: June 3 - August 9, 2013; Application Deadline: March 1, 2013

    This 10 week research program is designed for students who have completed at least two semesters of college by the start of the Summer Research Program; have at least two semesters remaining of their undergraduate education at the start of the program; have a 3.0 GPA or better; are African American, Hispanic/Latino (a), American Indian/Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander; and are US citizens or permanent residents.  Students will conduct and present research under the auspices of a Cornell Engineering faculty research mentor whose goal is to help the student gain theoretical knowledge and practical training in academic research and scientific experimentation.  Please visit www.engineering.cornell.edu/diversity/summer/lsamp.cfm for more information and to apply.  Inquiries can be made to Jami Joyner at dpeng@cornell.edu or 607-255-6403.

    The XSEDE Scholars Program is a year-long program for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students from underrepresented minority groups and women in computational sciences. The program provides opportunities to learn more about high performance computing and XSEDE resources, network with cutting-edge researchers and leaders, and belong to a cohort of student peers.
