  • U of I System expands Diverse Supplier Development Program to serve 35 companies

  • State funding request addresses faculty recruitment, student success initiatives, cybersecurity

    A request approved today by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees seeks an increase in state general funds appropriations of $82.7 million. The total operating funds request of $780.5 million represents an 11.9% increase from the current year’s $697.8 million appropriation. The increase would support four goals: enhancing student success; recruitment and retention of faculty members and staff; addressing inflation and other cost increases; and technological infrastructure needs. 

  • Board of Trustees freezes in-state undergraduate tuition rates for 2024-25

    The University of Illinois Board of Trustees today approved tuition rates for the 2024-25 academic year that freeze the undergraduate base rate tuition for resident undergraduate students at the three system universities. This decision reflects the system’s ongoing commitment to affordability.
