I am extremely pleased to announce that we have received approval for the awarding of two new named faculty appointments in the College of Education, effective January 1, 2022.
Sarah McCarthey, professor and head of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, will be named the Sheila M. Miller Professor of Education, and Hedda Meadan-Kaplansky, professor and head of the Department of Special Education, will be named the Margaret Joy Smale Valpey Professor in Special Education.
Join me in congratulating Dr. McCarthey and Dr. Meadan-Kaplansky on these named appointments, and save these dates to attend their investiture ceremony:
