Y. Barry Chung, Ph.D. '98 EPSY and Dean of the College of Education at San Diego State University, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 American Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Contributions to Education and Training in Psychology.
He will be presented with his award during the association's ceremony later in the year. As a winner, he will also be invited to submit a paper to the American Psychologist journal.
Chung’s research interests include career development, multicultural counseling, and sexual orientation and gender diversity issues.
