Briana Morales, a current Ed.D. student in EPOL, was recently featured on an episode of St. Louis on the Air from St. Louis NPR.
Morales, was the 2023 Illinois Teacher of the Year, recently visited the White House for the second time this year, as she attended the back-to-school event that celebrated and honored teachers from across the country.
In a wide-ranging interview, Morales talks about being inspired by her seventh grade teacher, Jennifer Steineke, to become a teacher, the power of reading, and how fostering strong relationships among teachers and students can improve outcomes.
