The Unit for Criticism and Interpretive Theory is hosting a lecture with professor David Roediger, titled "Education of an Ordinary White."
The lecture will take place in room 1002 at Lincoln Hall on March 27, at 5:15 p.m.
In “Education of an Ordinary White,” Roediger, acclaimed CRT theorist and author of The Wages of Whiteness, reflects on his upbringing in the American Midwest during a time of racial oppression and change. The lecture is drawn from his new book, copies of which he will be giving away to graduate students after the event.
Roediger is the Foundation Professor of American Studies at University of Kansas, and a former faculty member at the University of Illinois.
