Workshop: June 28-30 | Exhibition: June 24 - August 30
The University of Southern Indiana Art and Design Department, in partnership with the Evansville African American Museum, is hosting the Black Art Workshop Weekend and Exhibition this summer. One of the guest artist presenters will be Ayinde Rochon, a research assistant at the Office of Community College Research and Leadership in the College of Education. Rochon, who uses autoethnography, photography, and filmmaking as methods of collection and displaying research, will be joined by Lunden King, Matthew Fields, and Kenneth Randle.
The workshop will provide an exclusive space for the mentoring and representation of Black artists. Both the workshop and exhibition will be located in the McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center.
