Jennifer C. Ng, Ph.D. '04 EPOL, has been named the vice provost for faculty development at the University of South Carolina.
Ng has been a professor and chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Kansas for 21 years. She also served as associate vice provost for faculty development and mentoring at KU. Before her higher education career, Ng was a middle school English teacher in Houston.
Her research centers on how social contexts of schooling affect educators’ work—especially with race, class, culture, and other forms of difference as primary features.
