The Gies Access and Multicultural Engagement Team want to extend an invite to our College of Education neighbors to join us for our Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration scheduled for Wednesday, October 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. on the Sixth Street Lawn (the grassy area between BIF and KAM).
We are planning a fun evening to enjoy a celebration of our campus Hispanic/Latinx community. Bring a chair or a lawn blanket to enjoy the vocal talents of Elis Artz with music from the Afro-Caribbean Jazz Collective and the Illinois Jazz Ensemble.
Additionally, the Krannert Art Museum has graciously extended its hours and will be providing self-guided tours featuring Hispanic and Latinx art pieces. And local, Hispanic-owned food trucks will be parked along Sixth Street offering food for purchase.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
