The University of Illinois has announced the establishment of the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science (SCDS). The school was made possible thanks to a $50 million gift from Illinois alumna Thomas M. Siebel. SCDS will be housed within the Grainger College of Engineering.

With the generous support of Mr. Siebel, the School will pioneer advancements at the intersection of computing and data science, addressing complex challenges and driving innovation across various fields."
The school will be the home unit for the undergraduate degrees in Computer Science + Education that were first offered in the Fall.
