Nathan Tanner, a Ph.D. candidate in Education Policy, Organization & Leadership, has been named a Humanities Research Institute Graduate Fellow for the 2024-25 school year.
Tanner's research is titled Document-Based and Oral Histories of Diné Experiences in the Mormon Indian Student Placement Program, 1945–2000.
The fellowship will enable advanced graduate students to develop their dissertations or research projects and to participate in the year's activities, including the yearlong interdisciplinary Fellows Seminar and other related programming. Graduate Student Fellows receive a $25,000 stipend, tuition, and partial fee waiver.
