Congratulations to Khadija Tejan, Ed.M. EPOL '12, who was named 2023 Counselor of the Year by the St. Louis American.
Tejan is the College and Career Counselor for the Riverview Gardens School District. She works with the district's 5,700 students to help guide them on their path to college, career, or the military and helps them make informed decisions.
Khadija is an active Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority member, serves as a scholarship reviewer for the St. Louis Cardinals Redbird Rookies Scholarship program, and is involved with the Central Baptist Church.
She was honored during the 36th Annual St. Louis American Foundation Salute to Excellence in Education Scholarship and Awards gala on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023. Video of the event is available here.
