The reason he calls it Burma, not Myanmar, is that Burma is (a) the correct Exonym for the territory in the English language, (b) the junta ruling the territory which made the decree have not been recognised by many world governments, including that of the United States, and (c) because no-one else has the right to tell English speakers what to call them in our language. This is also why, for example, The Ukraine is correct in my idiolect: Ukranians have no more right to tell me what to call their country in my language than I have the right to tell them what to call my country in theirs.
