Youth Conservation Corps Assistant Program Manager
Job Summary
Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) is a summer program designed to employ high school youth in natural resources, construction, and park maintenance related projects. The Assistant Manager aids in the pre-season organization and management of the day-to-day operations of the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) and assists with program development. Hours will vary during the pre-season beginning in February of each year but, will work 40 hours a week from May - August.

Essential Functions & Experience
Essential Functions -
Supervises YCC Crew Leaders engaged in conservation/development projects. Assists with program development, training and project management. Maintains a safe work environment through hazard recognition and implementation of safety guidelines. Establishes good public relations and working relations with outside sources of possible funding for YCC. Drives a motorized vehicle to travel to different locations. Performs tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching and sitting. Performs heavy lifting tasks up to 50 pounds.

Experience - Completion of High School Diploma. One year experience in supervision of youth. Working knowledge of environmental education, conservation, construction, and grounds maintenance fields. Must possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license. |
