  • International Education Week scheduled for October 16-22

    International Education Week returns in person this October, and with a dozen events to participate in, students, scholars, faculty, staff, and community members will have an opportunity to experience the importance of international education.

    Students and scholars have until Oct. 7 to register for the 25th annual Indoor World Cup.

  • Recipe submissions now accepted for ISSS' International Cook-off

    Current students or scholars can submit recipes that represent the country they’re from between now and September 14.

    Each recipe submission must conform to one of the following five categories—dumplings, rice, bread, curry or kebabs.

  • Illinois Global Institute centers receive almost $13.2 million in Title VI funding

    Six area and global studies centers within the Illinois Global Institute will receive almost $13.2 million in competitive Title VI federal grants during the next four years to advance educational opportunities, programming, and public engagement. The University of Illinois is one of this year’s top Title VI funding recipients in the country. 

  • International Students Unpacking event scheduled for August 31

    The International Student Outreach Team from the Counseling Center is hosting International Students Unpacking on Wednesday, August 31. 

    It will be at the Asian American Cultural Center located at 1210 W Nevada St in Urbana.
