The Office of International Safety and Security encourages all Illinois faculty, staff, and students abroad to read this information and follow the safety precautions outlined. The Office of International Safety and Security will continue to monitor events around the world on a 24/7 basis and stay in close communication with the U.S. Department of State, the Overseas Security Advisory Council, our peer institutions, and our International Insurance provider.
All Illinois travelers should continue to ensure that they are covered by the University's International Insurance before traveling abroad and register in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).
