blog posts Additional travel arrangement assistance Mar 12, 2020 1:00 pmDue to the influx of requests for assistance with travel arrangements, the University of Illinois is working to add additional resources. The information from our email to students and parents on March 12, provided below, is still accurate. However, we have added another resource. New Resource: Travelers requiring assistance can contact email@example.com You will need to supply the following info to start the process: Full Name Passport # Where you are right now Nearest Airport Gender Birthdate Where do you need to fly into Once you supply that information, they will find a flight and send the ticket/itinerary info. If you cannot email, the phone contact for them is: 1-888-677-8728 between 8:00am to 6:00pm CST. As noted above, our previous assistance is also available: If flights need to be changed, the University is assisting through Corporate Travel Planners. First, we encourage students to contact the airline carrier or travel agent who booked your ticket and request a change. Most major airlines are waiving change fees but be sure to ask. If you cannot rebook your ticket from your original ticketing party or if you do not have a return ticket, please contact Corporate Travel Planners at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 210-524-3317 during business hours. After 7pm CST, contact 1-303-801-2331 and select the business option. Reference “University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Study Abroad Evacuation” when calling. If unable to book a flight through CTP, please contact email@example.com for additional assistance. We are also aware that the U.S. government-imposed travel restrictions may have an impact on flights from Europe and other countries. We encourage you to consult with your ticketed airline and review the Overseas Security Advisory Council's (OSAC) FAQ on the Europe Travel Ban. Please be advised that we are sharing this U.S. government resource but cannot advise or interpret how it might apply in individual cases.
