Colleagues,
Previously, we sent an email regarding Microsoft License changes in June. We have worked with Microsoft to adjust dates and give everyone additional time. The campus will now transition to the new license model from July 24 – 28. The process will take a few days to complete and take effect.
An FAQ is available to address staff questions and provide a list of solutions that can be implemented before July 24. To provide additional clarification:
- Postdocs have been removed from the list of affected staff groups
- Anyone enrolled as a student, regardless of their staff group, will not be affected by the license change
- There will be no changes to Skype for Business access, email inbox quotas, or voicemail functionality
- We have informed the IT staff in your units and will provide them with an updated list of individuals the license change will impact.
