• QR Codes added to Webtools Short URLs

  Webtools Short URLs now support QR codes.  QR codes allow you to reach, engage and convert a wider target audience by linking from offline to online platforms.  QR codes are often used in billboards, magazines, web pages, or just about anywhere, allowing users to access information instantly.  Short URLs can be updated (changing the long/destination URL) and the QR code will continue to work properly.

  1. Have your local IT support group create a C-Name record called go.abc.illinois.edu that points to the A-record go.illinois.edu (substitute your department name for 'abc').
  2. Contact Web Services once step one is complete is complete.
