    While Frazier came had a big second half with 12 points, Kofi Cockburn and Jacob Grandison led Illinois' offensive attack against the Spartans. Grandison made six three-pointers and had 24 points. Cockburn led all scorers with 27.

    The Illinois Fighting Illini improved to 2-2 on the season with a 7-4 win over Middle Tennessee State on Friday at Springs Brooks Stadium in Conway, South Carolina. They take on Coastal Carolina on Saturday.
