The Center for Writing Studies invites graduate students to write for the CWS Blog. We’d like for that space to bea place for us to showcase the kind of work the CWS community does. This is also an opportunity for you to build your online scholarly profile, contribute to the CWS community, or work through some ideas. The posts don’t have to be explicitly about CWS, but it should be of relevance to the CWS community. Possible blog posts include, but are not limited to:
- Responses to CWS colloquia, brownbags, and the symposium
- Reviews of materials in the CWS library
- Reflections on CWS faculty, grad students, and alumni talks/workshops at major conferences
- Writer’s Workshop
- Writing Across the Curriculum
- Writing Across Media
- Short scholarly writing that you wouldn’t send to a journal
- Service you’re doing that’s relevant to CWS (Odyssey Project, EJP, etc)
If you have an idea for a blog post, send an email to one of the Assistant Directors for CWS: Kaia Simon (simonpo2@illinois.edu) or Maria Carvajal (crvjlrg2@illinois.edu). You can also stop by during our office hours: 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, Tuesdays.
