Congratulations to Jonathan Phalen, '23, Secondary Ed. Minor, on being named one of thirteen Fulbright Scholars from Illinois for 2023-24. Phalen accepted a Fulbright/America for Bulgaria english teaching assistant award to teach in Bulgaria.
A native of Lake Forest, Illinois, Phalen received his degree in English from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in May, is a certified teacher, and is interested in improving his pedagogy for second language teaching. Read more on Phelan and the other Fulbright awardees here.
