Praveen Chhikara, a Ph.D. student in Curriculum & Instruction, received full funding to attend a National Science Foundation-sponsored workshop titled 'Developing Online Learning Experiments Using Doenet.'
The workshop will take place at the University of Minnesota May 20-24.
During this workshop, attendees will collaborate with mathematics faculty to explore how different content choices impact student learning in college mathematics classrooms, utilizing the software tool Doenet. Doenet enables instructors to quickly test hypotheses regarding the relative effectiveness of alternative approaches by providing tools to assign different activity variations and analyze the resulting data.
