Chang-kyu Kwon, assistant professor of Education Policy, Organization & Leadership, has received the Early Career Scholar Award from the Academy of Human Resource Development.
Kwon was recognized at the 2025 AHRD Conference in Washington, D.C.
The Early Career Scholar Award is awarded to an outstanding HRD scholar in the early stages of their career who has made identifiable and significant contributions to scholarly research in the field of HRD.
Kwon's research is informed by critical systems thinking and theorizes the role of learning in promoting diversity and whole-person inclusion. He focuses on leadership and organizing principles that lead to safe learning spaces. He also studies ableism and the inclusion of people with disabilities in education and the workplace.
