Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership doctoral students Nathan Tanner and Marisol Jimenez recently represented Illinois at the first-ever AERA Graduate Student Council (Division J) summer retreat in Washington, D.C.
As part of AERA leadership, Jimenez represented Division L (Educational Policy and Politics) as the Senior Graduate Representative, and Tanner represented Division F (History and Historiography) as the Junior Graduate Representative.
The weekend event was attended by a select group of graduate students from around the nation, with Illinois' EPOL department representing twice.
