The Office of Undergraduate Research invites interested faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, research professionals, and graduate students to serve as a judge for the 2021 Virtual Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS), set to be on display April 26–30, 2021. As the signature event of Undergraduate Research Week, the URS will bring together hundreds of students from all academic disciplines to share their research through oral panels, poster presentations, and performances. All presentations will be pre-recorded and on display through an online symposium platform.
As a judge, you will be asked to evaluate a small group of presentations and interact with the student presenters through a built-in message board. You will be able to view and evaluate presentations any time throughout the week (April 26 - 30). Your evaluations will be invaluable in helping us assign awards for outstanding presenters and presentations.
We will do all we can to partner you with other judges to ensure interdisciplinary combinations as part of the review process. We hope you will find value in helping us foster a culture of discovery on this campus and participating in this celebration of student innovation and excellence.
At your earliest convenience, please indicate your availability to serve as a judge using the link below. Prior to the URS, we will both confirm your participation and send judging instructions. We look forward to your participation!
