Congratulations to Department of Special Education assistant professors Jessica Hardy (PI) and Catherine Corr (Co-PI), as well as teaching professor Brenda Lindsey from the School of Social Work (Co-PI), who were recently awarded an Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) grant entitled TI3: Trauma-Informed Early Intervention, Early Childhood Special Education, and Social Work.
The goal of Project TI3 is to increase the number of EI-ECSE-SSW professionals who demonstrate the competencies needed to provide differentiated instruction and intensive individualized intervention in an interdisciplinary team-based approach to address the unique needs of children with disabilities who have high-intensity needs.
The grant is for five years, totals $1,172,411, and will fund approximately 24 master’s degree students in Special Education at Illinois.
