All current faculty are invited to join the conversation on June 15 to discuss collaboration between IWERC (Illinois Workforce and Education Research Collaborative) and the College of Education. The discussion is at 9 a.m. CDT, via Zoom. Please consider joining us on Thursday, June 15, from wherever you are located.
Register for the Zoom discussion here.
IWERC is an education research-practice partnership with the State of Illinois. It is directed by Dr. Meg Bates, a College of Education at Illinois alumna (Ph.D. ’09). IWERC has research and data partnerships with numerous state agencies, including ISBE, and a statewide stakeholder council.
At the meeting, Bates will first share a brief overview of IWERC’s research agenda, current partnerships with the College of Education, and potential avenues for further collaboration. Then, she will call for faculty to share research interests that might intersect with Illinois state policy and to think through how IWERC can be helpful to those interests. Finally, there will be some time to brainstorm potential collaboration on grant proposals, including for the NSF fall deadlines (DRK12, EHR CORE, etc.).
