Jamie Roundtree '98 LAS, Ed.M. '05, Ed.M. '10, has been named Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Rantoul City School District.
Roundtree comes from Champaign's Booker T. Washington STEM Academy, where he has been principal for five years. Roundtree has been with Champaign Unit 4 schools since 2005, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal at several schools in the district.
He now heads up curriculum and instruction for the five elementary schools in the Rantoul City School district. Rantoul's superintendent, Scott Woods, told the News-Gazette that Roundtree stood out in the interview process for his "significant experience in the area of elementary curriculum and instruction and significant experience in elementary leadership.”
