Congratulations to assistant professor Asif Wilson on being named the 2022 Timuel D. Black Jr. Short-term Fellowship in African American Studies, a summer research fellowship with the Vivian G. Harsh Research Society in Chicago.
Wilson is receiving funding for his awarded project, “Activating social studies classrooms: Tim Black and justice-centered education in Chicago.” He will be conducting archival research on justice-centered teaching practices of Black teachers in Chicago.
