Congratulations to Dean Emeritus James D. Anderson, who will be honored by the Champaign County NAACP at their annual Freedom Fund Celebration on September 28.
Anderson will receive the Education Award at the annual gala. Over a lengthy education career, Anderson has received a Presidential Citation from the American Education Research Association, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Association of College for Teacher Education, and was elected into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
The Freedom Fund Celebration will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign. The Champaign County NAACP will host the 87th Illinois State Conference concurrently with the celebration.
