Giselle Martinez Negrette, assistant professor in Curriculum & Instruction, was recently honored for her dissertation, “Bilingual Ways with Words: An Ethnographic Study of Language and Social Constructions in a Kindergarten Dual Language Class.” Her research has been selected as second place in the 2021 American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE) Outstanding Dissertation Competition sponsored by Educational Testing Services (ETS).
