Kimberly Ransom, assistant professor EPOL, has been awarded a Humanities Research Institute (HRI) Summer Faculty Fellowship. Ransom is one of ten faculty members named to the summer 2024 cohort.
The fellowships are designed to help faculty use the summer in service of their ongoing professional development. It will provide resources for faculty to continue or maximize their ongoing research project.
Ransom's research centers on the Historic Pickensville Rosenwald School and Community Center in Pickensville, AL. This school was part of a network founded as a partnership between Booker T. Washington and Julius Rosenwald to educate Black students in the South.
