Michelle Ellis, an academic adviser in the Student Academic Affairs Office, is excited to be back at the University of Illinois after graduating with a degree in advertising in 1994. Her passion and love for working with students led her to pursue a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Chicago State University. While working in higher education for 16 years, she had the opportunity to promote the university she was working for and the programs the university offered to the students. She exposed students to the opportunities that were available and encouraged them to pursue their interests.
Given Michelle’s prior experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds, she is eager to guide students in the College of Education and help them achieve their goals. The university offers a plethora of opportunities for every student, and Michelle wants to offer her advising services in a way that allows students to get the most out of their time here.
