The College is pleased to announce that Jessica Li has accepted the offer to serve as the next College of Education Associate Dean for Research and Director of the Bureau of Educational Research (BER), effective immediately.
As a senior faculty member with over 30 years of experience as an educator, researcher, scholar, administrator, and manager, Dr. Li has a strong leadership background. She has served as the Interim Associate Dean for Research for most of 2021, where she has done an excellent job of fulfilling the duties of the position and directing the BER. She continues to do outstanding work in the Human Resource Development division in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership (EPOL), and has served as the Cross-Functional Theme Lead on the Education and Workforce Development Team of the Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) since 2018. Dr. Li has served as the Dean’s Fellow for Faculty Development and Diversity Initiatives and has served on the College’s Executive Committee, as well as numerous other college and campus committees, and is a former fellow of the Building Pathways for Emerging Leaders at Illinois. Dr. Li is not only passionate about service, teamwork, and equity, she is committed to building a solid multicultural, multidisciplinary, and collaborative education research program within the College.
