Local artists can contribute to public health prevention!
The 2021 Art for Health & Unity Competition was created to reward artists for contributions towards preventing COVID-19 and inspiring our community to be a better place for all. Artists of all ages are invited to submit original art to the community-wide competition.
Submission Details
Artist submissions should feature COVID-19 prevention with the message “PROTECT & RESPECT” in any language. Priority will be given to art that highlights diversity.
Submissions will be judged in two categories:
- Youth (17 and under)
- Adults (18 and up)
Submit your art at www.unityinactionmagazine.com/art. Deadline for submission is May 22, 2021.
Prizes
The top three winners in each category will receive a gift card prize. Their artwork may also be featured in public health campaigns and in Unity in Action Magazine.
- First prize: $300 gift card
- Second prize: $175 gift card
- Third prize: $100 gift card
The Art for Health & Unity Competition is sponsored by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in collaboration with Unity in Action Magazine, Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, and Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center.
