High schoolers from around the state of Illinois joined us for the first session of Exploring Education Summer Camp, June 9–13. The camp is designed for high school students who are considering a career in education and allows them to explore innovative teaching methods, advanced education technology, and global learning while on our campus. Campers spent a week living in dorms, visiting the University Primary School, touring the IDEALL lab, conquering an escape room, meeting fellow future Illini, discussing education practice with Illinois graduate students and faculty, and much more.
The summer's second session of camp begins this Sunday, July 14, running through July 18. Please welcome these potential future educators to campus and the College of Education, and email Terrance Stevenson, Coordinator of Undergraduate Recruitment and Career Services at tsteven2@illinois.edu if you have any questions.
