In October, Governor J.B. Pritzker appointed professor Rosa Milagros (Amy) Santos, Special Education professor, to the statewide Illinois Interagency Council on Early Intervention. The council advises and assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of early intervention and education programs for children with disabilities and their families.
In her particular role on the council, Dr. Santos will be involved in the preparation of professional personnel to serve infants and toddlers similar to those eligible for services under the Early Intervention Services System. She will serve a three-year term.
Dr. Santos joins fellow Special Education faculty Meghan Burke in serving on the council. Congratulations to our faculty for being invited to serve, and for the dedication to your profession.
