For 2021, in-person commencement and convocation ceremonies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will not take place due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. However, our Convocation website shows the exciting things that are happening to celebrate your great achievement! There you will find:
- Information about the university-wide Stage Crossing Experience happening Monday, May 10 – Monday, May 17. Registration deadline is April 15.
- Information about the university-wide Online Commencement Celebration on Saturday, May 15 at 12:00 p.m. CT.
- Information about the College of Education Virtual Convocation Celebration on Saturday, May 15 at 1:00 p.m. CT. Registration deadline is April 30. Note, this virtual event will showcase August 2020, December 2020, and May 2021 graduates. New this year, doctoral students will upload their dissertation title and committee member information.
- Information on ordering academic attire. Ordering deadline is April 1. Orders placed after this date may not arrive by May 15 and will be at the regular price.
