The International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education recently published an article written by Gabriel Rodriguez, assistant professor EPOL.
The article is titled Enacting thick solidarity through convivencia: Examining relationships and accountability in research with youth of color.
Rodriguez examines the interplay between relationships and accountability to argue that researchers can demonstrate their solidarities with youth in ways by convivendo (co-existing) in ways that speak about how they give back. In so doing, researchers can work toward humanizing research practices that center on the needs and desires of youth.
