The International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education recently published an article I wrote. The article is titled: Enacting thick solidarity through convivencia: Examining relationships and accountability in research with youth of color. I examine the interplay between relationships and accountability to argue that researchers can demonstrate their solidarities with youth in ways by convivendo (co-existing) in ways that speak how they give back. In so doing researchers can work toward humanizing research practices that center the needs and desires of youth.
