Mitzi Koeberlein, Admissions and Records officer for Educational Psychology and Curriculum & Instruction was honored by the Graduate College with the Excellence Award for Graduate Contacts. She was given the award during the Graduate College Annual Workshop on Tuesday, February 20, at the I Hotel.
She was recognized for her hard work in assisting faculty and staff, supporting new staff members, acting as a mentor, and being professional, kind, and supportive.
Koeberlein was nominated for the award by Karla Moeller, associate dean for graduate programs.
"To say that Mitzi demonstrates excellence as a graduate contact is an understatement. The knowledge Mitzi possesses about graduate student policies is impressive. Her professionalism is recognized by everyone with whom she works," said Moller. "I have literally never heard a complaint about Mitzi from students, faculty, or staff in that entire time, which is quite impressive given that she often deals with people who are under stress of one kind or another. I could write a book about how Mitzi excels in her responsibilities, problem-solves, exhibits professionalism, keeps us all on the right track, and goes above and beyond her regular duties."
