George Calfas unearthed a jug in 2011 that is now part of an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. “Hear Me Now: The Black Potters of Old Edgefield, South Carolina” will be on view at the museum through Feb. 5. Calfas supplied the jug, contextual information used in the exhibition and museum publication, and audio narration used in the self-guided tour.
