The University Library is helping professors develop open access textbooks that their students can use free of charge, through grant funding from the Illinois State Library and the provost’s office. Copyright librarian Sara Benson, left, is coordinating the project. e. ainsley, center, an artist and a marketing associate for the University Library, is creating the cover art for the open access textbooks and helping develop podcasts about the project. Doxey Kamara, an information sciences graduate student, right, is a project manager for the grant program. The group is pictured at Fresh Press paper lab, where ainsley is creating the cover art.
