  • Wealthy donors, think tanks major influences on education policy, study says

    Wealthy philanthropists are creating and mobilizing networks of resources that sway public opinion and shepherd into law education policies such as parent trigger laws that may have little research evidence to back  them up, according to a study co-written by education policy professor Christopher Lubienski and doctoral candidate T. Jameson Brewer. Lubienski is director and Brewer is the OLeary Fellow with the Forum on the Future of Public Education at Illinois. Graduate student Priya Goel La Londe also contributed to the research.
