  • Krannert Art Museum hosts retrospective of photographer Hal Fischer

    University of Illinois professor of English Tim Dean is the guest curator for a Krannert Art Museum retrospective of Illinois alumnus Hal Fischer’s photography. “Hal Fischer Photographs: Seriality, Sexuality, Semiotics” features his well-known photographic series focused on gay life in 1970s San Francisco, as well as his early work as a U. of I. student. Fischer’s photos from the series “18th near Castro St. x 24” can be seen on the wall behind Dean.
