  • Illinois research maps extreme-heat vulnerability in Chicago

    University of Illinois urban and regional planning professors Bev Wilson and Arnab Chakraborty studied where the people most vulnerable to heat waves live in the Chicago area and how their locations have become more dispersed. They say cities need to know where their most vulnerable residents live in order to better respond to heat emergencies.
