  • College towns important to alumni’s enjoyment of homecoming events, study finds

    In studying the ritual of homecoming at three Midwest universities, University of Illinois alumna Hongping Zhang found that marketing efforts aimed at enticing out-of-town alumni to participate should touch upon their fondness for the college town, not just the university itself.  Zhang conducted the research while studying for a masters degree in recreation, sport and tourism at the U. of I.
