    Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

    • Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)
    • Be a U.S. citizen OR legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
    • Be pursuing or plan to pursue your first undergraduate or graduate degree
    • Must plan to apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning January 2012
    • Plan to enroll full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam in the upcoming academic year.
  • Boren $20,000 Study Abroad Scholarship

    Multiple Illinois students each year receive $20,000 towards their studies abroad under the Boren Program, and it would be great if more of our students were aware of this fantastic opportunity.

  • Make-A-Difference Scholarships

    The Illinois Club is now accepting scholarship applications online for next year. The awards offered are:

    • Make-A-Difference Awards - $2,000 each, three to five awards
    • Judith Life Ikenberry Fine Arts Award - $3,600
    • Susan T. Haney Social Work Award - $3,000
    • Isabelle Purnell Education Awards - $2,000 each, three to five awards

    You will be considered for all awards for which you are eligible.

    The Application Deadline is November 1, 11:59PM

     

  • Dad Association Scholarship

    The Dads Association will award 6 scholarships in the amount of $2,000 in January 2013. To be eligible, the student must have an application for financial assistance on file with the Office of Financial Aid and submit a scholarship application.

    Applications due: November 16, 2012 @ 5pm.

     

  • NOAA Student Scholarship

    The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships (includes internships) to students majoring in disciplines related to oceanic and atmospheric science, research, or technology, and supportive of the purposes of NOAA's programs and mission, e.g., biological, social and physical sciences; mathematics; engineering; and computer and information sciences.

  • 2013 NASA ASP Scholarship Application

     

     

    The 2013 NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Application is now open. The NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program seeks to attract students interested in the field of aeronautics to work with NASA's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) which is directed toward enhancing the state of aeronautics for the nation, transforming the nation's air transportation system, and developing the knowledge, tools, and technologies to support future air and space vehicles. The ARMD focus is on cutting-edge, fundamental research in traditional aeronautical disciplines, as well as emerging fields with promising application to aeronautics.

    $15,000 awarded for each school year, to be used for educational related expenses

  • SHELL Incentive Fund Scholarship

    Application must be completed and received by May 31, 2013!

    Shell Oil Company offers $5,000 annual scholarships through its Shell Incentive Fund Scholarship program to under-represented students pursuing an undergraduate degree in a specific technical field of study. The scholarship can be used to pay for tuition and/or school expenses.

  • The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program

    Application process begins in August - Deadline is January 15, 2014!

    Funded by a $1.6 billion grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GMS was established in 1999, as a twenty year commitment, to provide greater access and opportunity to higher education for outstanding students from underrepresented backgrounds (1,000 selected each year; 20,000 in 20 year commitment). 

     

  • Book Scholarship

    The University of Illinois Latina/o Alumni Association (IllinoisLLAA) invites current U of I students to apply for its 2013-2014 Illinois LLAA Book Scholarship.

  • Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship

    $2,000.00 scholarship to be awarded.  

    Minimum criteria:

    a.  GPA of 3.0 or higher

    b.  Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning,finance, or logistics

    c.  Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field.

  • Molitoris Leadership Scholarship for Undergraduates

    $1,000.00 scholarship to be awarded.  

    Minimum criteria:

    a.  GPA of 3.0 or higher

    b.  Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning,finance, or logistics

    c.  Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field.

    d.  Applicants for the Molitoris Leadership Scholarship must specifically address the issue of leadership on their personal statement.

    Applications must be returned to your local chapter no later than November 4, 2013

     

  • Illinois Club Scholarships

    The Illinois Club is now accepting scholarship applications online for next year.  The awards offered are:

    • Isabelle Purnell Education Awards - $2,000 each, three to five awards
    • Make-A-Difference Awards - $2,000 each, three to five awards
    • Susan T. Haney Social Work Award - $3,000
    • Judith Life Ikenberry Fine Arts Award - $3,400

    You will be considered for all awards for which you are eligible.

    The Application Deadline is November 1, 5:00PM

    You will be notified via e-mail when your application is received.  In December or January you will be e-mailed again about the status of your application.  If you are a semifinalist you will be interviewed in late January or early February, with notification of all awards occurring shortly thereafter.  Study Abroad student interviews may be Skyped.  The winners will be feted at a Scholarship Awards Brunch in early March.

  • Cargill Global Scholars- Deadline March 1, 2014

    The Cargill Global Scholars Program provides financial support ($2,500 for up to three years) and leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a one-on-one mentoring program. These enrichment activities have been designed to help foster and enhance the Cargill Global Scholars’ leadership potential and critical thinking skills, and equip them with the tools necessary for becoming global leaders and decisions makers.

    Scholarships will be awarded to talented, high performing university students who demonstrate exemplary academic achievement and leadership potential and study in a field relevant to Cargill’s world of food, agriculture and risk management.

    Who Can Apply?

    Applicants to the Cargill Global Scholars program must:

    1. Be a citizen or permanent legal resident of Brazil, China, India, Russia or the United States.
    2. Attend a partner university in the country of citizenship or permanent legal residency
    3. Be a first or second year university student
    4. Demonstrate high academic performance
    5. Demonstrate leadership potential

    Preference will be given to applicants who:

    1. Demonstrate financial need
    2. Specialize in fields of study that are identified as preferred fields (see each country’s guidelines)
    3. Are from a disadvantaged or underrepresented group within their country

  • Shell Technical Scholarship and Shell Incentive Fund

    Hello from Shell Recruitment!

    Are you majoring in Engineering or Geosciences? Find out how you can apply for a $5,000 scholarship from Shell for the 2014-2015 academic year!

    We offer two types of scholarships: the Shell Technical Scholarship and the Shell Incentive Fund.

    • The Shell Technical Scholarship is for full-time students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in a specific technical major. 
    • The Shell Incentive Fund is for full-time students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in a specific technical major and who belong to particular under-represented minority groups.

  • Anthony Ihedoha Anaebere, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

    The children of Anthony I. Anaebere, Sr., will award a Memorial Scholarship in his honor to oneNigerian-born or first generation Nigerian-American student pursing an undergraduate or graduatelevel engineering degree at an accredited college/university in the United States of America. The Anthony I. Anaebere, Sr., Memorial Scholarship award may vary each year. For this year we will beawarding a $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship may be used for tuition and fees, books andsupplies. All applicants will be notified of the scholarship committee's decision on or before Friday,May 26, 2018 at 8pm Pacific Standard Time (PST).

    Applicants for the Anthony I. Anaebere, Sr., Memorial Scholarship must:

    1. Be a Nigerian-born or first generation Nigerian-American student pursing an undergraduate or graduate level engineering degree at an accredited college/university in the United States of America.

    2. Have a cumulative grade point average (gpa) of : Secondary (high school) students matriculating to a 4-year college/university arerequired to have at least a cumulative 3.0 gpa to apply. College/University undergraduate and graduate students are required to have at least acumulative 2.5 gpa to apply.   

    Applications must include the following documentation and be RECEIVED BY: February 18, 2018 at 8pm PST

    1. A completed Anthony Ihedoha Anaebere, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Application

    2. Current resume from applicant (should include list of activities and honors).

    3. One letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to the applicant’s academic credentials. Letter of recommendation may not be from a relative of the applicant.

    4. Academic transcripts from your current institution and/or enrollment verification letter if you will be matriculating to a new program during the 2018-2019 academic year. (If you are matriculating from high school to a four year college/university you are required to submit verification of enrollment from your college/university and complete high school transcripts).

    5. An electronic digital photo and signed photo/image use waiver.

    6. Completion of Application Essay Prompt (essay should be no more than 500 words).

    PLEASE NOTE: The Scholarship Committee will review applications and select the top three candidates for a phone or virtual interview, after which the final selection will be made.

    The application and associated application materials must be submitted together electronically to apply@aiascholarship.com via e-mail. In the subject of your e-mail for your electronic submission please write: "AIA SCHOLARSHIP SUBMISSION."

    Critical Skills Master's Program

    Sandia's Critical Skills Master's Program (CSMP) is a special, entry-level hiring program, which provides new or recent technical bachelor's degree candidates the opportunity to pursue a fully funded Masters of Science degree. The CSMP program is designed to attract talent pursuing key disciplines aligned with Sandia's national security mission, including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity and Electrical Engineering.     Master's Fellowship Program

    Exceptional candidates with bachelor's degrees can receive fully funded master's of science degrees through Sandia's Master's Fellowship Program. Successful applicants will become full-time Sandia employees.
