The College of Education is proud to offer a week of homecoming events for alumni, faculty, staff, and students this year.
Each day will feature an activity and a giveaway to celebrate Homecoming 2024. The events include:
Teacher Tuesday: Buy an orange or blue carnation for $1 and give it to a cooperating teacher, faculty member, or friend. All proceeds will benefit the Zola Coffee Bar. Buy your carnation and pick up your daily giveaway in the North Lobby from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wear Orange Wednesday: We want to see a building full of orange! Wear orange to show your true Illini spirit. Pick up your prize in the Dean's Office from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Thank a Donor Thursday: We couldn't prepare so many students for their bright future without our wonderful donors! Stop by the Advancement Office from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., write a thank you note to our generous donors, and pick up the daily prize.
Open House Friday: The College of Education will host an open house for everyone from 3 to 5 p.m. Join us for refreshments in the O'Leary Learning Center, take a building tour, and meet other alumni, students, and friends.
Homecoming Parade & Pep Rally: Join us at 5:30 p.m. as we walk to the parade and celebrate Michelle Tjelmeland, Ed.M. '00, as the UIAA Diversity and Inclusion Award recipient.
